An average of 1 in 6 applicants are accepted into the MScAC program, with nearly all students having professional experience prior to joining the program

MScAC students receive 8-months of graduate training in various areas of applied computing from the University of Toronto's world-leading faculty before starting their internships

MScAC graduate students ready to hit the ground running, championing innovative approaches and able to lead projects from initiation to completion

MScAC graduate students receive rigorous training in technical entrepreneurship and communications in computer science, providing them with the full skill set needed for on-the-job success

In addition to graduate courses in computer science, MScAC students also take courses relevant to their concentration. The MScAC program’s concentrations include Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Science for Biology, and Quantum Computing

Partnerships Team

Each graduate student in the Master of Science in Applied Computing program (MScAC) takes part in an 8-month internship (May to December) that must include a substantial applied research component. 

The MScAC graduate program imposes a much higher standard of creative or intellectual exploration than would normally be encountered in a co-op study program or a paid work experience program.
