Applied Mathematics
Information Session

Why choose the Applied Mathematics concentration?

The past fifty years have seen a decisive shift toward quantitative techniques across every sector, from genomics and quantum computing to sophisticated financial instruments and medical imaging. Applied mathematics continues to be a powerful instrument supporting innovation across science, industry, and society.

Students in the Applied Mathematics concentration develop rigorous mathematical reasoning and modelling skills alongside hands-on experience in scientific and industrial collaboration — a combination that opens doors to many fields, from scientific research to industry and beyond.

Join us to hear directly from the MScAC program and the Department of Mathematics about what this concentration offers, what careers it leads to, and how you can start building a competitive application portfolio. Our alumni will also share their experiences in the program and discuss how it supported their academic and professional growth.

The information session will be offered in a hybrid format, with options to attend in-person on campus or online via Zoom.
