The Master of Science in Applied Computing (MScAC) program at the University of Toronto announced today the return of their annual Applied Research in Action (ARIA) showcase. Known as Toronto’s biggest academic-led tech innovation showcase, ARIA is centre stage to some of Toronto’s most cutting-edge applied research being conducted by MScAC and PhD students in close collaboration with industry-leading partners.
MScAC students complete an 8-month applied research internship with our partners, where together they identify innovative solutions to real-world challenges. You can expect to see over 80 applied research projects from MScAC and PhD students as well as nearly 10 different industry partners at this year’s showcase.
“We are thrilled to once again open our doors (in-person), inviting the world to ARIA, exhibiting not only the strong industry-academic collaborations that have been fostered throughout the last year in the program, but also how our MScAC students and partners continue to defy gravity, pushing the limits towards effectively solving real-world problems,” said Arvind Gupta, Professor, Academic Director, Professional Programs, Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto.
ARIA welcomes all those interested in witnessing world-leading applied research and innovation and it is a forum for networking with a rich cross-section of industrial researchers, world-renowned faculty, leading alumni, and the next generation of world-class innovators.
