MScAC ’21 student Rohit Saha is presenting his research paper at the 2021 Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) taking place on June 19 to June 25, 2021.

Have you ever wondered how you would look with a new hairstyle before going to the hair salon? Saha’s paper, entitled “LOHO: Latent Optimization of Hairstyles via Orthogonalization”, uses LOHO – an optimization-based approach – that uses reverse generative adversarial networks (GANs) to synthesize a photo with your new haircut.

LOHO is the product of a collaboration between ModiFace, a Toronto-based L’Oréal subsidiary and Vector Institute faculty and students.
